The Bonny View Hotel in Bald Hills, in Brisbane’s north, could be expanded and refurbished if a development application is approved.
Plans for the heritage hotel at 2077 Gympie Road, which opened in 1935, include the addition of outdoor bistro dining, a playground and expanded beer garden to enhance the mix of indoor and outdoor spaces available to patrons.
It would require the demolition of some interior sections of the building, with the hotel’s gross floor area expanded by 431sq m.
The hotel would have 54 car parking spaces, with an additional 15 informal car parks on a gravel area.
