A rural property in Kurwongbah, in the Moreton Bay region north of Brisbane, could be turned into a winery with a wellness reteat and tourist park if a development application is approved.
To be situated on a 58 hectare land holding at 201 Brown Creek Road, the development would include six vineyards, a winery with a two-level restaurant and cellar door, tourist park with 85 cabins, a wellness retreat and spa. It would have 173 car parks.
It is believed the winery and wellness centre would be open to both people staying at the property, as well as members of the public.
The development has been designed to make the most of the nature surrounding the rural property.
If it goes ahead this could become quite an attraction for the area, which would benefit both residents and visitors, and draw more people in.
