A new secondary co-educational Catholic School (grade 7 to 12) for up to 900 students has been approved for a 5.76 ha site – a former driving range – at 441 Beams Road in Fitzgibbon, in Brisbane’s north.
The school is expected to be open in 2022, starting with 150 students in year 7 – and will be built in stages as funding becomes available.
More than 800 expressions of interest have already been received from families wanting to attend.
Located in a growing area of Brisbane’s north, there will be strong demand for this type of infrastructure, and it will positively impact property prices in the area by drawing more people in. It’s also close to plenty of other services and amenity including a major transport node and shopping centre at nearby Chermside.
