A Rebel Sport store is planned for Mt Ommaney Shopping Centre at 171 Dandenong Road, Mount Ommaney in Brisbane’s southwest.
A development application has been lodged for the proposed new tenancy, which would be 1,418sq m, and would see a significant part of the existing food court near Target removed to facilitate it, with nine existing tenancies repurposed.
Despite most of the works being internal, it would also require a minor extension to the shopping centre with a new loading dock and changes to landscaping proposed, resulting in additional gross floor area of 657sq m.
The Shopping Centre contains a total of 160 specialty stores including major retailers Big W, Kmart, Target, ALDI, Coles and Woolworths, and this will add to the retail offering.
