A new mixed-use building could be built on a vacant site in the Ipswich CBD if it is given development approval.
The four-storey development proposed for a site at 3 and 5 Limestone Street, 2 Brisbane Street and 7 Milford Street, would have a childcare centre on the ground floor and two levels of commercial space with 63 car parks.
The childcare centre would cater for 100 children with 797sq m of interior space and 736sq m of outdoor space, and operate from 6.30am to 7pm.
The second and third floors would have 1,100sq m floor plates, and could cater for commercial business or a medical centre or café.
The development has been designed to enhance the look of the city, being positioned at the entry on a site that has been vacant for some time.
