A service station, drive-through Starbucks and two office buildings will occupy a well-known Northgate site following the receipt of a development approval from council.

The site at 185 Toombul Road was home to the Northgate Foundry building since the 1950s, but it has been demolished to make way for the new development.

An existing brick building on the southwest of the site will be retained, while two new standalone two-storey office buildings will be built, along with the service station.

The site will have a total of 86 car parks.
