The Clayfield Villagio Shopping Centre on Brisbane’s northside could be redeveloped if a development application is approved.

The dated neighbourhood centre at 830-832 Sandgate Road and 139 Junction Road, Clayfield could be totally transformed into a trendy hub if given the go ahead, with the redevelopment to provide “contemporary architecturally designed” buildings prominently featured on the corner site, according to the application.

The project would involve the demolition of the single-storey building fronting Sandgate Road and retention of the building fronting Junction Road, with the rebuilt development to include a variety of retail, office, shops, and restaurant tenancies with a total of 93 car parks.

This would provide improved amenity for the residents of Clayfield and be a drawcard for the already sought-after area.
