A new community centre is proposed for Yeronga within a site earmarked for the ‘Parkside Yeronga’ development.
Parkside Yeronga will be a new mixed-use community development including residential, commercial and recreational precincts on the former TAFE site in Yeronga. It sits within the three hectare Yeronga Priority Development Area on Villa Street and Park Road close to road, rail and bus services, as well as the state primary and high school and Yeronga Memorial Park.
The proposed community centre at 70 Park Road will be a two-storey building with 16 basement car parks, adjoining the public plaza that forms part of Parkside Yeronga.
It will include meeting rooms, lobby space, a welcome hub and outdoor space, benefitting residents in Parkside Yeronga and the wider suburb and surrounds by providing a space for community activities and uses.
