Brisbane Buyers Agent Insights – What’s happening in Logan – Expanded hospital to attract buyers, including first homebuyers

Logan Hospital, at Armstrong Road and Loganlea Road in Meadowbrook, will undergo a $460 million expansion and revamp over the next five years.

The expansion is designed to increase the hospital’s capacity by nearly half, making it one of Queensland’s largest ever hospital upgrades.

The project kicked off in October last year and work on the hospital’s main construction is expected to start in 2021.

The upgrade will see the hospital have an additional 206 beds and treatment spaces, four new floors in the main building and refurbishment of clinical, clinical support and operational service support areas in the other existing hospital buildings, including maternity service upgrades.

This improved infrastructure will be a significant drawcard for people moving to the fast-growing Logan City, which is already home to a population of around 330,000.
