A development application has been lodged for a mixed-use development on the site of the former George Weston Foods’ Top Taste Bakery factory in Kedron.
The project, to be called Bakery Square, would include nine towers of between 12 and 15 storeys, including residential, retail, outdoor dining, community facilities and a minimum 2500sq m square accessible to the public.
The 3.6 hectare site at 30 Glentanna Street and 474A Gympie Road, Kedron was home to the iconic bakery for 50 years, before closing in 2020.
