It appears Wendy’s is seeking to open its first Brisbane restaurant on the corner of Adelaide and Albert Streets in the city.
A development application has been lodged to fitout the space, including internally and also altering the façade of the highly visible site at the entry to the Queen Street Mall.
The restaurant would consist of two floors, with both having dining areas. Combined the dining areas would cater for around 150 people.
The well-known spot where Wendy’s could open used to be the long-term home of Wallace Bishop, and most recently housed a branch of Bupa.
Earlier this year Wendy’s opened its first Australian branch on the Gold Coast, on Cavill Avenue in Surfers Paradise.
