Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC) has opened an expressions of interest process for operators to run two new hotels on the airport estate, in addition to the three hotels that are already operating in the precinct, with reported high occupancy.
The two sites are in vastly different positions. The proposed mid to upper level hotel will be the first to directly service the International Terminal and will be adjacent to a new multi-level carpark. The second development at Skygate will provide a select service offering for a mid-level hotel. The proposed site will be positioned next to the existing DFO, expanded 16-hectare entertainment hub Lander’s Pocket and other speciality stores including Queensland’s only 24/7 Woolworths supermarket.
The hotels are set to meet growing demand from business, leisure and event-driven travel ahead of the 2032 Olympic Games in Brisbane.
