A development application has been lodged for a new mixed-use development in Newstead’s James Street precinct, in Brisbane’s inner city.
The project, to be undertaken by GRAYA, would be a 35-storey tower with more than 170 residences at 20 Street and 19 Chester Street.
It will be called The Silo, in homage to its cluster of cylindrical, silo-like form.
In addition to residences and more than 2000sq m of resident amenity, including a pool and health and wellness level, it will incorporate a new retail and dining laneway, Silo Lane, that will run through the ground floor to connect James Street with the Gasworks.
