Brisbane Buyers Agent First Home Buyer Insights – What’s happening in Petrie – Indoor stadium to be built for the 2032 Olympics and beyond

As a top Brisbane buyers agent, we’ve always got our finger on the pulse of the Brisbane property market. Check out what’s happening in Petrie.

A new 7000-seat indoor stadium is set to be built in Moreton Bay as part of the region’s Olympic Park at The Mill in Petrie, which is a State Government Priority Development Area site.

The stadium, which is expected to include at least nine multi-use courts, will be built to host boxing events for the 2032 Olympic Games, but is designed to also host major sporting events, concerts and events for years into the future.

Being close to the University of the Sunshine Coast at Petrie it could also be used for educational activities and as a high-performance training facility, and it also has the potential to host exhibitions, business conferences and events, trade shows and work spaces.

This will be a great development for the region, in that it will be a major attraction and a cultural hub, and will also benefit the economy and support new infrastructure including roads and public transport.
