The Redland Bay Village Shopping Centre is undergoing a revitalisation and extension, that will include a full-line Woolworths and other retailers, including medical, personal services and cafes, as well as an electric vehicle charging station and Covid-smart drive through.
The project at Broadwater Terrace is said to be a first for the regiona, and will transform not only Redland Bay, but the dated shopping village.
Sitting on two hectares, the village floor size will double, increasing from 3,806 square metres to 7,700sq m.
Residents in the huge growth area will now be able to access a district-level shopping centre and services without having to travel to neighbouring Victoria Point.
Construction started in February and it is expected the whole project will be completed before the second quarter of 2022.
