A new two-storey library will be built at Everton Park to replace the existing one, in what will be a major upgrade for the facility.
The new library will sit over several adjoining properties on South Pine Road, Fallon Street and Stellmach Street in the suburb.
Three existing buildings will be removed so the new library can be built, but it will be done over stages so the library can stay open until the project is completed.
In addition to library space, the new facility will have staff offices, amenities, meeting rooms, a children’s area and a quiet room, with 40 car parks and 8 bicycle parks.
The new library will be a great addition for the residents of Everton Park, providing not only a service for borrowing books, but activities, events and a community space.
