As a top Brisbane buyers agent, we’ve always got our finger on the pulse of the Brisbane property market. Check out what’s happening in Ferny Grove.

Ferny Grove is set to have a new Woolworths and Dan Murphy’s, with the retailers committing to nearly 5000sq m of space in the Ferny Grove Central development in Brisbane’s northeast.

The $140 million transport-oriented development, adjoining the Ferny Grove train station on Samford Road, will provide 12,000sq m of retail space in total. The anchor tenants have committed to nearly half, with Woolworths occupying 3,200sq m and Dan Murphy’s signing up for 1,700sq m on leases ranging between 10 and 15 years.

Cinebar Cinema (taking 2,100sq m), Goodlife Health Club (1,800sq m) and Goodstart Childcare Centre (1,802sq m) have also been announced as tenants for the Ferny Grove Central development.

The retail amenity provided by the project will meet demand in the Ferny Grove area, transforming the suburb’s train station and bus interchange into a thriving neighbourhood village with retail, entertainment and residential components, with the latter being provided in the form of a 82-luxury boutique apartment building called The Fernery.

Completion of the project is expected to be in 2023.
