The inner-Brisbane suburb of Windsor could soon be home to a new service station and retail development, after a development application was lodged with council.

The 7,9519sq m site that is the subject of the proposed plans at 131 and 143 Newmarket Road used to be home to Eagers Holden. It will be cleared to make way for a development with 2,248.9sqm of gross floor area including a service station, four showrooms and a fast food restaurant.

Some objections have already been lodged against the development due to noise and traffic concerns, but if it does go ahead it would add to the service and amenity offering in Windsor.
