Brisbane Girls Grammar School in Spring Hill will build a new Science Learning Centre after recently receiving development approval for an extension to an existing educational establishment.

The new seven storey building, to be constructed in the school’s East Wing at 70 Gregory Terrace will provide multi-functional space for up to 250 people, science labs, multi-purpose rooms, a staffroom and meeting rooms with more than 4200sq m of gross floor area.

The development will be modern but maintain the heritage of the site, and will be the school’s biggest building project to date. It will be built over an existing recreational area.

Increased amenity at this private school will only enhance its offering, and, likely be a drawcard for more students and therefore more residents close to Spring Hill. As long as the building is aesthetically pleasing, its impact will be beneficial upon this near-city suburb.
